Scheduling Associate

Areas of Responsibility:
Scheduling Associates are the "detail-oriented multi-taskers" of our team-based operations. Working closely with a Scheduling Director, they take care of all of the details required to get a physician to a locum tenens assignment and make that assignment a rewarding experience for the doctor, the client, and their patients. The job will make the most of your collaboration and communication skills; your attention to detail; your tenacity; your computer savvy; and your very strong phone-based customer service skills. Essential Requirements:
- Some post high school education with emphasis in business communications and/or basic accounting, or equivalent.
- Two years experience in customer service or sales with emphasis in administrative operations (preferably in the staffing area) or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to complete extremely detailed work.
- Excellent phone skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the following:
o Using Microsoft Office products, typing and l0-key.
o Ability to learn the VISTA application and use it to set priorities, document comments, and complete tasks.
o Ability to do research and create correspondence with good spelling and punctuation.
o Ability to make and take physician and client calls as needed.
o Ability to keep computer and paper files current and accurate.
o Ability to work with our Travel Department to coordinate travel, housing, and local transportation.
o Ability to work with physicians, clients, and scheduling team to facilitate credentialing and hospital privileges.
o Ability to handle basic accounting such as: expense record keeping and payroll coordination.
o Ability and willingness to work under pressure to resolve unexpected and unanticipated problems.
o Flexibility to perform unscheduled assignments.
o Ability to work with moderate supervision. - Ability to develop and maintain excellent communications and work effectively with clients/physicians, colleagues and others during the performance of assigned responsibilities.
- Excellent organizational skills with a proven record of attending to details and accomplishing tasks in an efficient and effective manner.
- Project desired company image and demeanor and support the company's mission.
- Willingness to sign an employment agreement.
Physical Demands:
Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
- Substantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
Preferred but not required:
Prefer someone with previous office experience in a staffing work environment or related business.
