VISTA Staffing Solutions was founded in 1990 by three veterans of the physician staffing industry, Mark Brouse, president, Katie Abby, executive vice president, and Clarke Shaw, senior vice president. Their vision was to create a team of knowledgeable, invested professionals dedicated to helping physicians make the most of transitions in their personal and professional lives and to helping facilities and practices solve their staffing challenges. We now serve thousands of physicians interested in career transitions and practices in need of staffing.
VISTA was the first 100% employee-owned company in the locum tenens/physician search industry, which allowed us to build an "ownership culture" that includes a sense of ownership for our customers' challenges and drives us to build long-term partnerships with physicians and practices. Meet VISTA
In January 2007 that plan came full circle. VISTA was acquired by On Assignment, Inc., one of the largest healthcare and scientific staffing companies in the US. Front-line VISTA employees shared in the proceeds of the acquisition, accomplishing the founders’ goal of giving equity to the people who built and maintained the company.
