Verification
VISTA does primary source verification of your education, training, privileges, board certification, and licenses.
Application
Physicians must complete a VISTA application that includes medical and legal questions and gathers essential information about your training and experience. This information will be revisited at least every two years during our reverification process. Download Physician Application PDF ».
References
Before you can work through VISTA, we gather several verbal and four to six written professional references from medical professionals with whom you've worked closely.
Documentation

Experience
We will ask you to complete a medical scope of practice form to help us get a very good understanding of your skills and the scope of medicine within which you are comfortable and confident practicing. Self-awareness of your strengths and limitations is a very important part of success in locum tenens. Sharing that information with your VISTA team is critical.

Internal VISTA approval
Our initial physician approval process requires signatures from our QI/RM team and your recruiter's team manager. We want to have confidence in the physicians we represent. Quality assurance keeps clients and physicians coming back, creating a premium pool of opportunities.
Case-by-case performance reviews
Our post-assignment evaluations assess the success of each and every VISTA assignment. We consider both client and physician feedback. And we go through the same process to review our own performance. In fact, every member of VISTA's staff participates in a formal Best Practices program.
Ongoing physician appraisal
We repeat this process every two years with each actively working physician. This allows us to seek the best assignments for physicians. We take notice of experience gained, expanded capabilities and positive feedback received. We consider lifestyle, desired practice environment, best placement outcomes and even spot problems or weaknesses. This lets us support the career goals of the physicians who work with us, and create job placements that serve each physician uniquely.
