Job Description
VISTA Physician Search and Consulting has a new full-time permanent Hospitalist position in Louisiana. Board certification/eligibility in Internal Medicine is required. Highlights of this full-time position include:
Practice Benefits
- 7 on /7 off schedule with flexibility. Schedule posted 6 months in advance
- $225,000 guarantee (potential to earn $300,000 plus)
- Nights are 12% of annual coverage and are favorably incentivized
- On-site Intensivist support with open ICUs
- Stable 30-member group in its 20th year of practice, delivering 24-hour on-site care by board-certified physicians
- Comprehensive benefits package
- User-friendly clinical information system with CPOE accessible from home
- Iphone 4 provided with dedicated support for technology
- Dedicated RN Clinical Care Coordinators and Quality Improvement Project Manager who will submit ABIM project data
- Successful participation in PQRI (physician quality reporting initiative)/PQRS by all full-time physicians since 2007. As of 2011, CMS is publically reporting individual MD participation on the "Physician Compare" website
- Above average patient outcomes
- Average census of 15 patients per physician
- Community-based academic appointment
- Medical Director is an active Hospitalist with supportive administration
