Job Description
VISTA Physician Search and Consulting is representing a leader in health care seeking a Family Medicine Hospitalist. The ideal candidate will be BC/BE in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics. Benefits of this permanent position include:
Practice Benefits
- Hospital employed position
- 7 on/7 off coverage model
- Duties will include admissions, rounds with ICU/critical care, discharges, quality improvement, codes, consultations and committee work
- Must be comfortable doing procedures including codes and vent management
- Projected volume of 14-18 patients
- 12-hour shifts
- PM Hospitalist may not need to remain on site but must be responsive to emergency department and staff calls
- Competitive salary and excellent fringe benefits
- $100,000 combined sign-on/retention bonus over 5 years

- Surgical area has 4 operating rooms and 2 endoscopy suites
- There is a radiologist on site during the weekday and on call on weekends
- The imaging department provides a picture archiving and communication system, including MRI and CT services
- Regional healthcare services include radiation oncology and has a very busy ambulatory services business with approximately 45 specialists seeing 9,000 patients/year
- Full medical record access is available hospital wide via electronic health records (EPIC)
- Providers enjoy a pharmacy department with a strong clinical practice
