Job Description
VISTA Physician Search and Consulting is representing a traditional Internal Medicine practice seeking a BC/BE Internist. Benefits of this full-time permanent position include:
Practice Benefits
- Traditional Internal Medicine with patients of all ages whom have complicated multi-system issues
- 12 weeks of inpatient work/year - (with an option for additional weeks upon request)
- Opportunity to work in the nursing home for interested Internal Medicine associates
- Internal Medicine residency program with a solid core of Internal Medicine faculty
- Hours are Monday - Friday, no evenings or weekends
- Average number of inpatients: 10-20 patients/day
- Clinical trials and research opportunities available
- Resident teaching available with free-standing residency programs
- Hospital also educates junior and senior medical students from the state of New York system on rotations throughout the year
- IM associates (not part of the IM residency program faculty) present lectures twice yearly
- Call is limited to when one is on GMS (General Medical Service) - which is approximately 12 weeks per year. While one is on the service, call is generally every other day with 2-3 calls/day. Residents cover the remainder of call
- All avenues of Internal Medicine open to associates - no limits on outpatient, inpatient, nursing home, and/or teaching
- Large multi-specialty group with referral base
