VISTA is assisting a health system in California with its search for locum tenens Primary Care providers to assist with virtual visits. The opportunity is 5 days a week from 830 AM to 530 PM, but the client is very flexible. The Chief is needing to staff up to accommodate a heavy workload. This is a great, tight-knit team that works well together and has a great reputation. This job could be ongoing more than 6 months, and there is opportunity for in-person clinic shifts as well for the right provider.
 
 JOB DETAILS
-Worksite: Virtual, must be in the State of California and licensed in California. Coverage is for an Adult and Family Medicine team.
-Reason for need: Chief needs additional staff due to workload
-Dates needed: ASAP ongoing as needed, minimum of 6 months
-Patient Load: 24 virtual patients per day
-Specialty desired: Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Either are acceptable.
-Shifts: Ideally Monday-Friday, 8:30 – 5:30 and open to evenings and weekends. Client is very flexible and will accommodate for less availability if needed.
-Setting: 100% outpatient telemedicine
-Duties: Virtual care, telephone, and video visits as well as remote inbox management (answering patient secure messages, reviewing lab results, triaging messages.)
-Provider Attributes Desired: Must be computer literate. Must be able to stay busy and see patients without struggling to keep up. EPIC Skills a plus.
-License: Active California and active DEA required
