Job Details:
Shift Description: 8a-8a – rounding + (remote call)
Facility Description: Level III NICU
NICU admits- 8.3%
NICU ACS- 10
Newborn Admits- 5-10% assigned to Neonatology Service
EMR- Meditech and PremiEHR
Average daily census- NICU- 14, NBN- 13
NICU and Newborn Nursery bed size- NICU 20
Annual Births- 1700
Job requirements: Ability to admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation for sick newborns presenting with any life-threatening problems or conditions. Routine newborn evaluation and care in nursery and performance of history and physical exam and ordering of restraints and seclusion. Core privileges for neonatal-perinatal medicine.
Procedures required: Bone Marrow aspiration, Cardiac life support, including emergent cardioversion
Active VA. license required. 90–120 day average credentialing time frame
Length of need: 6months to a year
Must be able to provide 5-7 shifts/mo.
Certification Requirements: Board Certified, ACLS, PALS, NRP
