Job Details:
Specialty: OB/GYN HOSPITALIST Requirements: California licensure, Board Certification with a minimum of 2-3 years active experience 24-hour In-house call Responsibilities Manage unassigned OB patients that present to L&D and the main ER Provide coverage of Obstetric emergencies Manage unassigned GYN patients that present to the Main ER Triage of all unassigned patients and for private physicians when requested Perform Antepartum, Post-partum and GYN rounds on unassigned patients that are on the OB/GYN Hospitalist service Inpatient consults Provide emergent GYN surgery services for patients that present to the Main ER (ex. Ruptured ectopic pregnancies, ovarian torsion, incomplete Ab, etc.) Call Coverage for Community Providers as needed Provide coverage of Obstetric emergencies for the private physician patients when they are not immediately available Work as an Extension of Private Practice Assist private physicians when requested based on availability Serve as assistant-surgeons for C-sections as needed Clinic coverage as needed one or two days per week Conduct post-surgical follow up visits and see high risk OB/GYN patients in the hospital sponsored clinic Hospital Privileges: 60-90 days
