NC Hospital Seeking Pediatric Hospitalist Call Coverage

Job Details:

VISTA is working with a longtime client in NC in their search for pediatric hospitalists who can work 24-hour non-restricted call shifts in 2023. This client rarely has locums needs so please take advantage of the opportunity. Long-term relationships possible with the right providers.
*Location- North Carolina
*Vaccines- COVID required but can apply for exemptions
*Dates- Asap ongoing through July 2023
*Specialty- Pediatric Hospitalist
*Boards-  Board Certified or in preparation for certification as listed by the specialty or subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or some other board recognized by the NC Medical Board unless exempt. 
*Shifts-  24 hour non-restricted call, 3 days per week minimum. M-TH is 8a-8a.  FRI is 8a-5p. After the locums rounds on patients, they can be on call by phone, don't have to be in-house unless called back in. Most shifts will be weekends which begin at 5pm on Friday and end at 8am on Monday.  Some coverage would be a day(s) during the week, in which it is 24 hours and would follow the same schedule as 8am-8am It would depend on the schedule, but we don’t book over 4 days in a row. 
*Procedures/Job Duties-Nursery rounds, Inpatient calls and rounds, ER calls, New admission and discharge, circumcision, etc.
*Support Staff- Nurses, Pediatric Nurses, ER doctors. We have 3 PEDHSP physicians and 3 midwives. Anesthesia and ER providers, nurses and pediatric nurses on call.  Regular Pediatricians may be reached if available.
*Census- group does: Approximately 70 deliveries per month. 
*EMR: Epic
*Nursery level- Our nursery is a Level 2 (Special Care) with 5 beds. Normally health babies will reside in with the mother.  Babies with Special care needs stay in the Level 2 nursery. We keep 34 weeks and greater.
