Physician – Emergency Medicine in Michigan

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: 24-hour shifts, 8:00am-8:00am, in-house. Immediate need is 6/30 (8a-4p) orientation, followed by 7/1(8a)-7/4(8a). Additional need: 7/21-25 and 8/24-30. Ongoing opportunities are available.
  • Job Setting: Critical Access Hospital with 18 Acute Inpatient beds, average daily census of 6. Chest Pain accredited, Joint Commission Accredited, working toward Trauma Level 4 designation. Trauma II hospital that is 15 minutes away and offers additional services.
  • Types of Cases: Approximately 25 patients per shift (Annual visits approximately 8,000). Admission rate: 3.4%. Transfer rate: 3.8%. Newborn deliveries received in the ED. 24-hour availability: Anesthesia, Laboratory, OR Response Time, Radiology. Fully-staffed Obstetrics Unit with NICU available at UPHS-Marquette.
  • Credentialing: Estimated 60 days

Minimum Requirements

  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
  • Licensure: IMLC will not be accepted
