Physician – Surgery – General Surgery in New Mexico

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: Need around Christmas time. 2026 calendar has not been built but we are looking for coverage Jan – May, 7-10 days per month. Transfers and inpatient call from 6a-6a, Emergency Call
  • Job Setting: Hospital inpatient coverage and ED coverage.
  • Types of Cases: General Surgery (Adult required, Pediatric and Trauma preferred); Laparoscopic Surgery including Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Hernioplasty, Nissen Fundoplication (all preferred); Chest wall/pleural procedures, Breast surgery, Liver surgery (preferred); GI endoscopy including Upper, Lower, Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy (preferred); Ventilation management, Chest tube insertion, Central line insertion, PA Catheter placement, Laser certification (preferred); Vascular Surgery including Aneurysm repairs, Arterial bypass, Peripheral, Vascular access devices, AV shunt (preferred); Pediatric Surgery procedures including Artesias, Abdominal wall defects, Diaphragmatic hernia, Imperforate anus, PDA ligation (preferred)
  • Credentialing: 90 days

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Eligible minimum, Board Certified required
  • Certifications: BLS required, Fellowship required
  • Licensure: New Mexico state license or willing to license.
