Physician – Urology in Michigan

Are you a Urology physician searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in Michigan might be the perfect fit for you!

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation. Typical week consists of 4 clinic days with 1 OR day. NO CALL COVERAGE!
  • Job Setting: 25 beds in department
  • Types of Cases: General Urology (Adult and Pediatric), Laparoscopic surgeries, Ureteroscopy, Renal and bladder ultrasound with biopsy, TRUS biopsies, Fertility work-up. Preferred skills include Nephrectomy, Prostatectomy, Robotic surgery, and Incontinence procedures. Da Vinci Xi Robot onsite. Approximately 20 patient encounters per shift.
  • Credentialing: Estimated 30 days. Start date TBD based on completion of credentialing and physician availability.

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Eligible minimum
  • Certifications: ACLS required. Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA-accredited residency/fellowship or foreign training in Urology.
  • Licensure: MI License, MI CDS, and MI DEA required
  • Experience: At least 50 urological procedures, reflective of the scope of privileges requested during the past 12 months, or successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency/clinical fellowship within past 12 months
