Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

Our client is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for a full-time position in their Emergency Department. This 25-bed critical access hospital serves approximately 25,000 patients annually, providing a diverse and engaging mix of cases. Providers work alongside a supportive team of board-certified emergency physicians and fellow APPs while practicing at the top of their scope in a collaborative rural emergency medicine setting.

Practice Profile:

• Full-time Emergency Medicine APP position
• Emergency Department sees approximately 25,000 patients annually
• Collaborate with board-certified emergency physicians and experienced APPs
• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages with acute illnesses and injuries
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and develop treatment plans
• Perform procedures appropriate to the emergency medicine setting
• Stabilize and prepare patients for transfer to tertiary care facilities as needed
• Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and specialists in a collaborative environment
• Shifts available 24/7/365
• State-of-the-art central monitoring system
• Helipad access for rapid tertiary care transfers

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Associate (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) program
• Current national certification as a PA-C, FNP, or ACNP
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain an active, unrestricted Maine license
• Current ACLS and PALS certification required
• Significant APP experience in an Emergency Department or high-volume Urgent Care setting preferred
• ATLS certification preferred
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
