Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: Days: 4 Physicians + 1 NP/PA (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM); Nights: 1 Physician + 1 Tele-Physician; Target Start Date: No later than October 1, 2026
  • Job Setting: Hospital Medicine – Baptist Health Fort Smith (194 beds)
  • Types of Cases: Hospital Medicine; Hospitalist experience preferred
  • Credentialing: Clean files required for Temporary Privileges; Arkansas Licensed Providers Preferred; Case logs for past 2 years required; Malpractice Coverage: $1M/$3M
  • EMR: Epic

Minimum Requirements

Nurse Practitioner

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program; ACNP or AGACNP
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified ACNP or AGACNP; Specialty must be Adult Gerontology-Acute Care
  • Certifications: ACLS/BLS through AHA
  • Licensure: Active unrestricted AR NP license; DEA license with AR address and prescriptive authority
  • Clinical Experience: 2 years of recent experience in the specialty; New grads must complete proctoring program
  • Immunizations: Flu Vaccine (must be within the same year), Hep B, copy of most recent TB, Covid

Physician Assistant

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Active certification through NCCPA
  • Certifications: ACLS/BLS through AHA
  • Licensure: Active unrestricted AR Medical license; DEA license with AR address
  • Clinical Experience: Must have worked in desired specialty for the last 2 years (internal medicine or family medicine)
  • Immunizations: Flu Vaccine (must be within the same year), Hep B, copy of most recent TB, Covid
  • Documentation: Documentation of procedures performed for the past 2 years in specialty requesting privileges for
