Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: Full-time; NNPs provide 20 hours/day of shift coverage, collaborating with neonatologists who provide in-house daytime coverage and home call at night
  • Job Setting: Level III NICU (16-bed) at CaroMont Regional Medical Center; also coverage in newborn nursery
  • Types of Cases: Neonatal care in a Level III NICU; approximately 320 admissions and 1,900 births annually; average daily census of 10
  • Credentialing:

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: APRN National Specialty Certification – Board Certified NNP required (FNP, PNP, or any other NP certifications not accepted)
  • Certifications: DEA (must be obtained prior to start); Master’s Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing required
  • Licensure: North Carolina APRN license (or willing to obtain); Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days, active) required at presentation
  • Experience: 2+ years of current experience as NNP (not including RN experience)
