Nurse Practitioner – Neonatal – Perinatal Medicine in Oregon

Opportunity Highlights
- Schedule: 7am-7am shifts, 5am-5am shifts at Newberg. Partially in-house for 6-8 hours per day (7am-1pm or 7am-3pm) billed at regular hourly rate, then beeper call until 7am the next morning. Must be within 30 minutes of the hospital. July – 5 shifts, August – 16 shifts, ongoing about 10 shifts per month. Shifts are typically not in a row and sporadic days, with possible flexibility to pair dates together. Guaranteed 8 hours per day. Overtime applies after 8 hours per day.
- Job Setting: Inpatient, hospital onsite and call. Weeknight beeper and 24 hour weekend beeper call. Less than 25% call back rate.
- Types of Cases: 5-8 patient encounters per shift. Resuscitation skills needed (about 1-3 per week), newborn rounding. Required skills: Intubation of Newborn, UVC, Needle Pneumothorax (decompression), x-ray interpretation. Preferred skills: Lumbar puncture, EKG interpretation, Circumcision (all).
- Credentialing: Estimated credentialing timeframe 30 days. Clean file required for temp privileges. Current CV required. 2 years of case logs required. Cannot work another site while scheduled here.
Minimum Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified only
- Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE
- Licensure: Active OR, DEA Required
