Nurse Practitioner – Oncology – Hematology / Oncology in Oregon

Are you an Advanced Practitioner Hematology Oncology searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in Oregon might be the perfect fit for you!

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8AM-5PM (with potential for 3 x 10-hour shifts Monday-Wednesday); 8 guaranteed hours per day; overtime applies after 10 hours per day; start date 12/1/2026, ongoing
  • Job Setting: Outpatient clinic onsite; no call; no rounding
  • Types of Cases: Hematology oncology; managing patients in the infusion suite; managing in-basket; responding to patients regarding lab results; working with the navigator to triage calls; some independent days alongside an oncologist. Provider will work in a newly renovated clinic alongside infusion nurses, an oncology nurse navigator, medical assistants, an oncology dietitian, a social worker, and schedulers, with support from a specialized Oncology Palliative Care team and collaboration with the Providence Cancer Institute of Oregon
  • Credentialing: Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90 days; temporary privileges not available; fellowship required; hospital/surgery center privileges required; EMR: Epic

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required
  • Certifications: AONCP certification required; BLS required; DEA required; fellowship required
  • Licensure: Active Oregon license required (IMLC not accepted)
