Nurse Practitioner – Pediatric Medicine in North Carolina

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: 5-10 days per month; 14-hour shifts from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM; ASAP – Ongoing
  • Job Setting: 8-bed pediatric unit with an on-site Pediatric ED; average daily census of 6; private office space and call room available
  • Types of Cases: Accept and admit patients; cross-cover patients on the floor and Hospital at Home as needed; provide virtual ED consults to regional sites; participation on Code Blue and PRRT teams with ED team; CHIPS physician back-up available by phone throughout the shift; approximately 6.5 patient encounters per shift
  • Credentialing: 60-90 days

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required
  • Certifications:
    • Pediatric Acute Care Certification required for NPs (PNP-AC or CPNP-AC); Family Nurse Practitioners eligible only if they also hold a pediatric acute care certification
    • BLS required
    • PALS required
    • DEA License required
    • Pediatric experience preferred
  • Licensure: Active North Carolina license, will consider IMLC
