Nurse Practitioner – Surgery – Orthopedic Surgery in Colorado

Are you an Orthopedics Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in Colorado might be the perfect fit for you!

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Assignment begins March 9-13, 2026, with ongoing dates beginning in June.
  • Job Setting: Inpatient, Level I Trauma Center, 300 beds.
  • Types of Cases: Adult and Geriatric patient population. Duties include consults, rounding, history and physicals, first assist as needed (not guaranteed), and general support of the orthopedic surgeon on call.
  • Credentialing: 60-90 days standard timeframe. Emergency temp privileges available ASAP.

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified
  • Certifications: AANP or ANCC Certified and/or NCCPA Certified (Required). Active BLS (Highly Preferred – must be willing to obtain prior to shift start). Active DEA (Required – site will consider transferred DEA, but must be maintained for duration of assignment). First assist experience/certification (Highly Preferred).
  • Licensure: Active Colorado License or Compact RN license with NURSYS Report.
