Physician Assistant – Emergency Medicine in New York

Opportunity Highlights
- Schedule: 11-20 hours of APP coverage daily
- Job Setting: 74-bed acute care hospital with 21-bed Emergency Department; Annual ED Volume: 21,000 visits
- Types of Cases: Emergency Department
- Credentialing: Active New York state license, board certification, and active DEA for New York required in hand prior to presentation
Minimum Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible:
- Nurse Practitioners: Current Family Nurse Practitioner certification through AANP or ANCC
- Physician Assistants: Current NCCPA certification
- Certifications:
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- PALS (American Heart Association)
- Moderate Sedation competency
- Minimum of 50 Category I CME credits during the previous two years
- Documentation of case logs for the previous two years
- Current annual influenza vaccination
- Current PPD or chest X-ray (for initial credentialing)
- Current physical examination (for initial credentialing)
- Current annual N95 fit test
- Titers for MMR, Hepatitis B, and Varicella
- Malpractice Insurance: Coverage limits of $1.3M/$3.9M (NP)
- Licensure:
- Nurse Practitioners: Active New York RN License; Active New York Nurse Practitioner License; DEA registration with New York address and schedules II, IIN, III, IIIN, IV, and V
- Physician Assistants: Active New York Physician Assistant License; DEA registration with New York address and schedules II, IIN, III, IIIN, IV, and V
