Physician – Cardiology in Louisiana

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: Full time, minimum 3 weeks per month. Clinic Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with one weekly clinic reading day. Hospital rotation every 5-6 weeks. Long term commitment preferred.
  • Job Setting: Hospital system and outpatient clinic. Multiple facilities.
  • Types of Cases: Non-invasive cardiology. Clinic responsibilities include panel of patients to follow, on-site visits, reviewing diagnostic studies, follow-up communication with patients, and care coordination. Hospital service responsibilities include inpatient care and rounding, consultations, multidisciplinary rounds, communication with referring providers, and reading all hospital diagnostic studies during service week. Physician will need to hold active supervising license and be added as locum tenens supervising physician for Physician Assistants.
  • Credentialing: 120 days

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required
  • Certifications: ACLS
  • Licensure: Louisiana license, will consider IMLC. Fellowship required.
  • Specialty Skills Required: Outpatient – Cardiology, ICU, Non-invasive, Echocardiography, TEE (Transesophageal Echo), Nuclear Cardiology (Cardiolyte, thallium, etc.), STEMI
