Physician – Cardiology in Louisiana

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: Full-time, minimum 3 weeks per month; Clinic Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; Hospital rotation every 5-6 weeks; Long-term commitment preferred; Start Date: December 1, 2026 – Ongoing
  • Job Setting: Outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital service across multiple locations
  • Types of Cases:
    • Non-invasive cardiology
    • Inpatient care and rounding
    • Consultations
    • Multidisciplinary rounds
    • Communication with referring providers
    • Reading all hospital diagnostic studies during service week
    • On-site clinic visits and reviewing diagnostic studies
    • Follow-up communication with patients
    • Care coordination with imaging/testing teams
    • Panel of patients to follow in clinic
    • Supervising Physician responsibilities for Physician Assistants
    • Required Skills: Outpatient Cardiology, ICU, Non-invasive Cardiology, Echocardiography, TEE (Transesophageal Echo), Nuclear Cardiology, STEMI
  • Credentialing: Estimated credentialing timeframe: 120 days; PCF and COI must provide 100% coverage with no gaps and align with the same dates

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required; Specialty: Internal Medicine – Cardiology; Fellowship required
  • Certifications: ACLS required
  • Licensure: Active supervising license required; Physician must be added as a locum tenens supervising physician for Physician Assistants
