Physician – Cardiology in Montana

Are you a Cardiology physician searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in Montana might be the perfect fit for you!
Opportunity Highlights
- Schedule: 7 day stretch, Monday 8am – Monday 7am. Providers will be scheduled weekly. Example schedule: Monday-Friday Clinic 8am-4pm with 12 patients and reading 10 echos (Wednesday includes OP Echo reading of 25 echos and General and Echo 5pm-7am night call); Saturday/Sunday General and Echo Call 7am-7am with 8 echos a day, inpatient rounds/consults, incoming referral line phone calls. OT after 40 clinical hours per week. Looking for 1-3 locum providers to cover a total of 3 weeks per month.
- Job Setting: Hospital and clinic depending on greatest need. 29 beds in department. Level 2 Trauma facility.
- Types of Cases: Outpatient Cardiology, Inpatient Cardiology, ICU, Echocardiography, TEE (Transesophageal Echo), Nuclear Cardiology (Cardiolyte, thallium, etc.). 9-12 patient encounters per shift. Weekends are 24 hour call, mostly all phone calls. Providers are rarely called in to see patients. Hospitalist triage calls at night first, minimal if ever an urgent echo in the evening.
- Credentialing: 90 Days
Minimum Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required
- Certifications: ACLS
- Licensure: Montana state license required. IMLC not accepted. 2 years post-fellowship required.
