Physician – Cardiology – Interventional in Michigan

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: Full-time
  • Job Setting: Hospital-based cardiovascular practice: 10-physician regional cardiology practice serving region
  • Types of Cases:
    • Cardiac catheterizations and coronary angioplasty/stenting (PCI)
    • Emergency angioplasty procedures for acute myocardial infarction
    • Inpatient cardiovascular consultations
    • Diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
    • Electrical cardioversions
    • Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
    • Participation in pacemaker, bi-ventricular pacemaker, ICD, and loop recorder implantation
    • Evaluation and treatment of coronary artery disease (CAD)
    • Management of cardiomyopathy and arrhythmias
    • Treatment planning for valvular heart disease
    • Heart failure management and CHF clinic support
    • Presurgical cardiovascular evaluations
    • Lipid management and anticoagulation (Coumadin) management
    • Focus strictly on Interventional Cardiology (no structural heart allocation)

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology (must become certified within 2 years); not accepting candidates who have lapsed Board Certification
  • Certifications: BLS Certification and maintain recertification
  • Licensure: Valid Michigan license required at time of employment; DEA required
