Physician – Cardiothoracic Surgery in Missouri

Are you a Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery physician searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in Missouri might be the perfect fit for you!

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: October 16th 7am to October 19th 7am, and November 18th 7am to November 23rd 7am; ongoing coverage multiple days per month until another surgeon is recruited
  • Job Setting: Inpatient; Call Only (In-House)
  • Types of Cases: Round, take call, perform surgeries if needed. Preferred cardiac/thoracic skills include: general CV/thoracic surgery (open and endoscopic), CABG (on-pump and off-pump), congenital defects (ASD, VSD, PFO, etc.), valvular repair and replacement, aneurysm repair (cardiac and aorto-thoracic), lung resection (including VATs), chest wall/pleural procedures, esophagus and diaphragm surgeries, permanent pacemaker placement, AICD, left ventricular assist devices, TAVR, vent management, bronchoscopy, central/arterial line insertion, PA catheter insertion, IABP insertion. Preferred vascular skills include: general vascular surgery (open and endovascular), aorto-abdominal aneurysm repair, bypass procedures, endarterectomy (carotid and renal), subclavian steal procedure.
  • Call Response Time: 20 minutes
  • EMR System: Epic
  • Support Staff: 2 PA/NPs provided
  • Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days; temporary privileges not available

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required
  • Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS required
  • Licensure: Must be licensed in Missouri only; IMLC not accepted
