Physician – Cardiothoracic Surgery in Ohio

Are you a Cardiothoracic Surgery physician searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in Ohio might be the perfect fit for you!
Opportunity Highlights
- Schedule: May 8-18, 2026 (7am start); June 11-15, 2026 (7am start). May 8: 8 hours plus after hour call; May 9-10: call + minimal rounding if any in house patients; May 11-15: 8 hours plus after hour call; May 16-17: call + minimal rounding if any in house patients. June 11-12: 8 hours plus after hour call; June 13-14: call + minimal rounding if any in house patients. Additional dates anticipated (3-5 weeks).
- Job Setting: Hospital. Trauma Level 3. Pediatric Level 2. 6 beds in department.
- Types of Cases: General CV/thoracic surgery (open and endoscopic), coronary artery bypass surgery (on pump and off pump), congenital defects (ASD, VSD, PFO, etc.), valvular repair and replacement, aneurysm repair (cardiac and aorto-thoracic), lung resection (including VATs), chest wall or pleural procedures, esophagus and diaphragm surgeries, permanent pacemaker placement, AICD, left ventricular assist devices, TAVR, CABG, vent management, bronchoscopy, evaluation and management of acute vol/BP issues, insertion of central line, arterial line, PA catheter, and IABP. General vascular surgery (open and endovascular), aneurysm repair (aorto-abdominal), bypass procedures (aorto-femoral/iliac and fem-pop), endarterectomy (carotid, renal, and not specified), subclavian steal procedure.
- Credentialing: Estimated 40 days. Fellowship required (3 years).
Minimum Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required
- Certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS
- Licensure: Ohio license required (IMLC not accepted)
