Physician – Cardiothoracic Surgery in PR

Are you a Cardiothoracic Surgery physician searching for your next exciting locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA’s healthcare partners in the San Juan, Puerto Rico area might just be the opportunity for you!
Opportunity Highlights
- Schedule: Mon/Wed onsite 7:00 AM–3:30 PM for elective OR + clinic; Mon/Wed call 3:30 PM–7:00 AM; Tue/Thu/Fri, weekends & holidays 24 hour call (7:00 AM–7:00 AM); Friday case conference 7:30–8:30 AM; 1 hour emergency response.
- Types of Cases: Open-heart/CT surgery, pericardial window/pericardiectomy, emergent pacemaker implant, lead extraction backup, PCI backup; two surgeons staffed to meet coverage.
- Credentialing: 60 – 90 days.
Minimum Requirements for Consideration
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: BC/BE by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery
- Residency/Fellowship: Completed Thoracic Surgery residency/fellowship
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
- License: Any active, full, unrestricted U.S. state/territory/DC license
