Physician – Cardiothoracic Surgery in Washington

Are you a Cardiothoracic Surgery physician searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in Washington might be the perfect fit for you!

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday + Weekend Call Coverage. Preference is for one provider to cover the entire assignment. However, we will consider providers with ongoing/long-term availability with a minimum of two weeks per month.
  • Job Setting: Trauma Level 3
  • Types of Cases:
    • Minimal Invasive Mitral (Preferred)
    • Impella55 – Implant/Support (Required)
    • Aortic valve conservation procedure (Required)
    • Aortic Root & Remodeling + Enlargement (Required)
    • General CV/thoracic surgery – Open and Endoscopic (Required)
    • Coronary artery bypass surgery – On pump and Off pump (Required)
    • Valvular repair and replacement (Required)
    • Aneurysm repair – Cardiac and Aorto-thoracic (Required)
    • Lung resection including VATs (Preferred)
    • Chest wall or pleural procedures (Preferred)
    • Esophagus and diaphragm surgeries (Preferred)
    • Permanent pacemaker placement (Preferred)
    • AICD (Preferred)
    • Left ventricular assist devices (Preferred)
    • TAVR (Required)
    • CABG (Required)
    • Vent Management (Required)
    • Bronchoscopy (Preferred)
    • Eval. and management of acute vol/BP issues (Required)
    • Insertion of Central line (Required)
    • Insertion of Arterial line (Required)
    • Insertion of PA catheter (Required)
    • Insertion of IABP (Required)
  • Credentialing: 90 days

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified
  • Licensure: WA State License, will consider IMLC
  • Fellowship: Required
