  • Schedule: All Nights, 5:30 PM – 5:30 AM
  • Job Setting: Inpatient – Critical Care; 36-bed department; Tucson Medical Center
  • Patient Volume: 15-20 patients per shift
  • Call: No Call
  • EMR System: Epic
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: Ongoing (Long-Term/Permanent Search)
  • Admissions Required: Yes (Unassigned Patients)
  • Allowed Holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day
  • Nearest Airport: Tucson International Airport
  • Malpractice Insurance: Provided by Vendor
  • Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days; Temporary privileges available

Types of Cases / Required Skills

  • Ventilation Management – Invasive (ETT/NT/Tracheostomy) and Non-Invasive (BiPAP/CPAP)
  • Chest Tube Insertion
  • Bronchoscopy with Bronchial Alveolar Lavage (BAL)
  • Evaluation and Management of Acute Volume/BP Issues
  • Insertion of Central Line
  • Insertion of Arterial Line
  • Insertion of PA Catheter
  • ICP Evaluation and Management
  • Dialysis Catheter Placement
  • Diagnostic/Therapeutic Taps: Lumbar Puncture, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required; Fellowship required (3 years)
  • Certifications: ABLS, ACLS, BLS
  • Licensure: Active Arizona (AZ) license required; IMLC accepted if candidate does not hold an AZ license. Candidates without AZ license or IMLC will not be considered.
