Physician – Critical Care (Intensivists) in California

Opportunity Highlights
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts; Day Shift 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / Night Shift 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Target start date September 1st (hospital will assist with emergency privileges).
- Job Setting: Hospital
- Types of Cases: Mixed ICU patient population including Med/Surg, Neuro, CV, and Cardio. Average daily census: 12 patients per provider on day shift, 15-20 on night shift. Average admissions per shift: 3 on days, 3-5 on nights. Required procedures include ECMO, as well as standard critical care procedures (central lines, intubations, vents). Provider required to respond to codes. Physician-only coverage model; no APPs.
- Credentialing: Estimated credentialing timeframe: 3 weeks to 2 months. Providers with closed malpractice cases will not be accepted.
Minimum Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Eligible accepted.
- Certifications: Flu vaccine required for the 2025-2026 season; TB test required from within the past year.
- Licensure: IMLC/Compact State License accepted.
