Physician – Critical Care (Intensivists) in Texas

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule:
    • Day Coverage: 7a-7p (4 Physicians, 2 NPPAs)
    • Night Coverage: 7p-7a (1 Physician, 2 NPPAs)
  • Job Setting: ICU 
  • Types of Cases: ICU; approximately 23,000 ICU patients annually; average daily census of 63 patients; winter census can reach 70+ patients
  • Credentialing: Temporary privileges available for physicians with a clean file; privileging timeframe: 60-90 days; hospital orientation and Epic training required (Epic test-out available for experienced users)
  • Start Date: December 2026
  • Length of Assignment: 4-6 months

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care, Pulmonary Critical Care, Surgical Critical Care, or Anesthesia Critical Care; ACGME or AOA accredited residency and fellowship required; alternative boards not accepted
  • Certifications: ACLS or ATLS required; procedures required
  • Licensure: Active Texas license required
