Physician – Emergency Medicine in Alaska

Are you an Emergency Medicine physician searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA’s healthcare partners in Alaska might be the perfect fit for you!

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: July 16th- August 10th and August 19-28th, October shifts also probable. Approximately 4 10-hour shifts per week, 8a-6p with night call. 10 guaranteed hours per day.
  • Job Setting: Critical Access Hospital – Rural Health. Inpatient, Clinic & Call with Overnight Beeper Call.
  • Types of Cases: ER, Outpatient/Primary Care, OB/C-Sections if needed in emergency. Approximately 4 patient encounters per shift.
  • Credentialing: Estimated 90 days.

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified only. Preference for providers Board Certified Family Practice with rural health experience (ED, Hospitalist, OB).
  • Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS required.
  • Licensure: Active Alaska license or IMLC. DEA required.
