Physician – Emergency Medicine in Georgia

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: Physician Coverage: 38 hrs | NP/PA Coverage: 24 hrs
  • Job Setting: Emergency Department – Piedmont Macon Medical Center (310 Hospital Beds, 30 ED Beds, 40,000 Patient Volume)
  • Types of Cases:
  • EMR: Epic with Dragon and Dax available
  • Malpractice Coverage: $100,000/$300,000
  • Additional Details: NP/PA Supervision required. Pre-application is required and to be paid by the MDDO. Temps are considered but only after the CVO releases the file and must be reviewed at the CC meeting. Physicians must update their GCMB profile with the new GA site address or they cannot be a Collaborative Physician.

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: ABMS/AOA certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine only. If Board Eligible, must be obtained within 5 years post residency/fellowship training.
  • Certifications: ACLS, PALS, and ATLS required. If ABEM certified, ATLS is not required. Completed residency at an accredited ACGME institution required. Clinical activity documentation for the past 2 years required. CME/CEU: 20 per year (2-year summary or certificates required). Immunizations: TB, Flu (during flu season).
  • Licensure: Active and unrestricted Georgia State Medical License; DEA with Georgia address.
