Physician – Emergency Medicine in Michigan

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: Approximately 6-8 shifts/month; shifts likely consecutive or in blocks. Start Date: 11/1/2026, Ongoing. Available shift times: 6p-6a, 6a-2p, 1p-9p. APC shifts (physician eligible): 9a-9p, 11a-11p. Allowed Holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Christmas Eve (half day commencing at noon).
  • Job Setting: Inpatient
  • Types of Cases: Emergency Medicine; approximately 20,000 ED visits per year. Hospitalists handle admissions. Newborn deliveries received in the ED. L&D department on site. 24-hour support services include: Anesthesia, General Surgery, Laboratory, OR Response, and Radiology.
  • Credentialing: Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60 days.

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified or Board Eligible required. ABEM strongly preferred. New graduates welcome.
  • Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS required. AHA certification required by Marshfield.
  • Licensure: Michigan license required. IMLC not accepted. Facility will not reimburse for licensing costs.
