Physician – Emergency Medicine in Mississippi

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: Approximately 8 shifts per month
  • Job Setting: Hospital System 
  • Types of Cases: Annual volume of 17,400; procedures including core clinical cases
  • Credentialing: Active, unrestricted Mississippi license required at presentation; criminal background check required prior to orientation/privileges; PPD must be completed 0-30 days before start (2-step PPD or QuantiFERON Gold); immunizations required as listed; past 2 years CME required; past 2 years case logs requested (not required)

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certification not required for physicians who have completed a 3-year IM or FM residency; boards accepted: EM, FP/FM, IM; ABPS and AAPS not accepted; minimum 2 years recent clinical experience requested; 3rd-year residents accepted; may accept 1 year post-grad training if Board Certified
  • Certifications: ACLS, PALS, and ATLS required; ABEM exempt
  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted Mississippi license required at presentation; Mississippi DEA with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4 & 5 required; pending DEA accepted
