Physician – Emergency Medicine in Tennessee

Opportunity Highlights

  • Facility: Medical Center
  • Job Setting: Level II Trauma Center, 342-bed hospital, high-volume Emergency Department 
  • EMR: Epic
  • Credentialing:
    • Immunizations & Health Screening: MMR and Varicella vaccination records or positive immunity titers; Two-step TB test completed within the last 12 months; QuantiFERON Gold accepted per facility guidelines
    • Case logs from the previous two years and documentation supporting any specialized procedural training
    • Preeclampsia-Eclampsia CME required at initial appointment and every two years thereafter
    • Must meet all Bristol Regional Medical Center credentialing and privileging requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible through one of the following:
    • American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM)
    • American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM)
    • American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)
    • American Board of Physician Specialties (ABPS)
    • American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
  • Education & Training: Graduate of an accredited four-year Medical School (MD or DO); Completion of Emergency Medicine Residency Training (minimum three years); ECFMG certification required for international medical graduates
  • Clinical Experience: New graduates welcome; Emergency Medicine residency graduates within the last 12 months will be considered
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS
    • ATLS
    • PALS (if not Board Certified in Emergency Medicine)
    • NRP (required for non-ABEM physicians)
  • Licensure:
    • Active, unrestricted Tennessee Medical License
    • Active DEA registration with Tennessee address
    • Must obtain/maintain all required facility schedules (Schedules II, IIN, III, IIIN, IV, and V)
  • Additional Requirements: Must serve as a supervising physician for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
