Physician – Geriatrics in Montana

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM; No call (Hospitalists cover night call); ASAP – Ongoing
  • Job Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and Long-Term Care (LTC) unit located on the campus of a medical center; 99 beds in department
  • Types of Cases: Comprehensive medical oversight for short-term rehabilitation and long-term care residents; admissions history and physicals; CMS compliance and recertification visits; chronic disease management; acute changes in condition; medication management; palliative and comfort-focused care; dementia and complex geriatric care; transitions of care coordination; interdisciplinary care conferences and family meetings; 12-14 patient encounters per shift
  • Credentialing: Estimated credentialing timeframe: 120 days

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; experience in Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, Transitional Care, and post-acute medicine required; experience caring for geriatric and medically complex patients strongly preferred; fellowship required
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS
  • Licensure: Montana state licensure required
