Physician – Internal Medicine in Connecticut

VISTA’s Permanent Placement Division is representing a community Hospital in southwest Connecticut. They are seeking an exceptional Internal Medicine / Preventative Medicine Physician to serve as the Program Director for its Residency Program.

Details For this Opportunity:

  • Internal Medicine and General Preventative Medicine. 
  • Practice Structure: 70% teaching and administration, and 30% clinical work as a hospitalist. 
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday
  • Duties of Position: Serve as the Program Director for a 4-year combined Internal and Preventative Medicine Residency program and 2-year Advanced Preventative Medicine Residency program.  Ensure continuing accreditation of the program by understanding and complying with the (ACGME). Also, will serve as Principal Investigator for the HRSA Preventative Medicine Grant. 
  • Position Requirements: Demonstrated experience in clinical education and leadership. Active Connecticut license or ability to obtain one. Valid DEA registration and Controlled Substance Certificate. 
  • Affiliated with the Yale School of Medicine and is a 160-bed community hospital serving more than 130,000 residents. 
  • Located in southwest Connecticut less than an hour from Hartford
