Physician – Obstetrics / Gynecology – Hospitalist in Arkansas

Opportunity Highlights
- Schedule: Clinic 4 days/week, 8am-4pm with 1-hour lunch; Call 1:4; Weekend coverage Friday 8am-Monday 8am; Start Date: January 1, 2026 – Ongoing
- Job Setting: Hospital; Clinic coverage as well as overnight and weekend call; Averages 60 births/month; Delivers 34 weeks and above only; In-house lab, ultrasound, and NST on site
- Types of Cases:
- Low risk pregnancy (Required)
- High risk pregnancy (Preferred)
- FHR interpretation – NST/CST/FSE (Required)
- OB Ultrasounds – Performance and interpretation including Level I/Screening and Level II/Targeted anatomic scans (Required)
- Amniocentesis (Preferred)
- Routine delivery – Vaginal, Low forceps, Decision-making for C-section (Required)
- Complicated delivery – C-section, Breech, Multiple births, Abruptions, VBACs (Required)
- Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations (Required)
- Office/minor gynecology – IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, Cryosurgery, LEEP, etc. (Required)
- Surgical gynecology – Open, Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor, Operative/major including ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs (Required)
- Laser certification (Required)
- Credentialing: Expedited privileges available for providers with clean histories; IMLC providers considered but must have Quality Letter in hand; Background checks and drug screens must be submitted to People Services as part of onboarding; Medical Staff Services/CVO will conduct separate background screening and credentialing reviews
Minimum Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required; Board Eligible considered with adequate progress toward board certification sufficiently related to the privileges sought, or demonstration of competency and training equal or equivalent to that required for board certification to the satisfaction of the MEC and board of trustees
- Certifications: BLS (Required), PALS (Required), Fetal Monitoring (Required), Laser Certification (Required)
- Licensure: Active AR license required; IMLC considered with Quality Letter in hand
