Physician – Obstetrics / Gynecology – Hospitalist in Kentucky

  • Schedule: 11/24/2026 (Orientation) through 11/30/2026 7:00 AM; 12/22/2026 (Orientation) through 12/28/2026 7:00 AM. These are the exact dates needed.
  • Job Setting: Inpatient | Call Only (No Clinic) | Beeper Call | Call Response Time: 30 minutes
  • Facility: Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center – Appalachian Regional Healthcare
  • EMR System: MediTech
  • Types of Cases / Required Skills:
    • Low risk pregnancy
    • FHR interpretation – NST/CST/FSE
    • OB Ultrasounds – Level I/Screening (viability) and Level II/Targeted (anatomic)
    • Amniocentesis (Preferred)
    • Routine delivery – Vaginal, Low forceps, Decision-making for C-section
    • Complicated delivery – C-section, Breech, Multiple births, Abruptions, VBACs
    • Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
    • Office/Minor Gynecology – IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, Cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.
    • Surgical Gynecology – Open; Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor (tubal ligation, LOAs, chronal tubation); Operative/major (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs)

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required; Fellowship: 3 years
  • Certifications: ABLS, ACLS, BLS, PALS
  • Licensure: Must be licensed in Kentucky (KY); or IMLC
  • Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30 days | Temporary privileges are not available
