Physician – Obstetrics / Gynecology – Hospitalist in North Carolina

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: ASAP – Ongoing; Major need for July 6-10; Provider will be scheduled at one hospital at a time
  • Job Setting: Hospital and Clinic
  • Patient Encounters Per Shift: 4-6 in hospital; up to 15 in clinic

Types of Cases / Specialty Skills

  • Required:
    • Low risk pregnancy
    • High risk pregnancy
    • FHR interpretation – NST/CST/FSE
    • OB Ultrasounds – Level I/Screening (viability)
    • Routine delivery – Vaginal
    • Decision-making for C-section
    • C-section
    • Breech deliveries
    • Multiple births
    • Abruptions
    • Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
    • Office/minor gynecology – IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, Cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.
    • Surgical gynecology – Open
    • Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor – Tubal ligation, LOA's, Chronal tubation
    • Operative/major – Ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's
  • Preferred:
    • Low forceps delivery

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Yes – Minimum Board Certification Eligible required
  • Certifications: ACLS required; Other certifications required (details not specified)
  • Licensure: NC Medicaid Eligibility required
  • Credentialing: 90-day estimated timeframe; Temporary privileges available with clean malpractice and NPDB; Provider must credential at both Harris Regional Hospital and Haywood Regional Medical Center simultaneously
  • Fellowship: Level 2

Agreement & Billing Notes

  • All-inclusive agreements are highly preferred
  • One fee to cover any call and callback hours
  • Travel expenses may be billed separately in adherence with LifePoint Invoice Rules on the LM platform
  • Malpractice to be covered by locums vendor
  • Only one buyout fee to be charged to cover the full agreement, if applicable
