Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 10:00pm
  • Job Setting: Hospital
  • Clinical Volume: 
    • 3-5 deliveries per day
    • Approximately 5 GYN emergencies per week
  • Types of Cases: 
    • High-Risk Obstetrics
    • Preeclampsia
    • Gestational Diabetes
    • Preterm Labor
    • Fetal Anomalies
    • Postpartum Care
    • Abnormal Uterine Bleeding
    • Family Planning/Contraceptive Counseling
  • Procedures:
    • C-Sections
    • Vaginal Deliveries
    • IUD Insertion/Removal
    • Pap Smears
    • Ultrasound 
  • Role Responsibilities:
    • Oversee all labor and perform deliveries
    • Morning rounds on patients
    • GYN surgery from ED consults during shift
    • Primary on all cesareans during shift
  • Support Team:
    • FP residents
    • OB/GYN residents
    • Medical students
    • Dedicated CNM on shift
    • OB/GYN physician on call 24/7
    • MFM available 24/7 (consultative)
    • GYN Oncology available 24/7 (consultative)

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics / Gynecology
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, DEA (required)
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years; 3+ years highly preferred
