Physician – Obstetrics / Gynecology in Kentucky

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: 24-hour shifts; ASAP – Ongoing
  • Job Setting: OB/GYN Hospitalist – on-unit hospital coverage; 23-bed department with 2 ORs for C-sections and emergencies
  • Patient Encounters Per Shift: 8
  • Types of Cases:
    • Low and high-risk pregnancy management
    • FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
    • OB Ultrasounds – Level I/Screening (viability) and Level II/Targeted (anatomic)
    • Amniocentesis
    • Routine vaginal delivery, low forceps delivery
    • Decision-making for C-section
    • Complicated deliveries: C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs
    • Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
    • Surgical gynecology: open, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor (tubal ligation, LOAs, chronal tubation), and operative/major procedures (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs)
  • Credentialing: Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60 days

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required (minimum Board Eligible)
  • Fellowship: Required
  • Certifications:
    • BLS – Required
    • PALS – Required
  • Licensure: Active Kentucky (KY), will consider IMLC
  • Background: Clean background required (no issues)
