Physician – Obstetrics / Gynecology in Missouri

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: 24-hour call shifts starting at 6AM; ideal call shifts are 7/24-hour consecutive days or greater, open to shorter durations. ASAP through 7/1/2027. Allowed holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.
  • Job Setting: Inpatient; OB-GYN Hospitalist; Call Only (In-House); EMR: Epic; 18 beds in department; approximately 600 deliveries annually.
  • Types of Cases:
    • Low and high risk pregnancy management
    • FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
    • OB Ultrasounds – performance and interpretation (preferred)
    • Routine vaginal deliveries
    • Decision-making for C-section
    • C-sections
    • Multiple births
    • Abruptions
    • VBACs (preferred)
    • Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations (preferred)
    • Surgical gynecology – operative/major including ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's
    • Open surgical gynecology (preferred)
    • Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor (preferred)
    • OB/GYN emergency call patient consults
    • Admissions required
    • Average patients per shift: 6.7
  • Credentialing: Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90 days. Temporary privileges not available. Fellowship required. Malpractice insurance provided by vendor. Nearest airport: Springfield Regional Airport. Lodging recommendation: TownePlace Suites.

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required
  • Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS required
  • Licensure: Must be licensed in Missouri, will consider IMLC
