Physician – Obstetrics / Gynecology in Missouri

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: 30-40 shifts per month; 12-hour shifts (7a-7p and 7p-7a); day and night shifts available; no call
  • Job Setting: Inpatient – Hospital-based OB Emergency Department 
  • Types of Cases:
    • Evaluate patients who are pregnant up to 6 weeks postpartum for OB/GYN complaints
    • Low and high risk pregnancy
    • FHR interpretation – NST/CST/FSE
    • OB Ultrasounds – Level I/Screening and Level II/Targeted
    • Amniocentesis
    • Routine vaginal delivery, low forceps, decision-making for C-section
    • Complicated deliveries: C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs
    • Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
    • Diagnosis and treatment of ectopic pregnancy
    • Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures – tubal ligation, LOAs, chronal tubation
    • Office/minor gynecology (IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.) – Preferred
  • Support Staff: APP support (PA, NP, Midwives) 18 hours/day; RN staffing 2-3 per shift; Sonographer 18 hours/day; Tech 12 hours/day
  • EMR System: Epic
  • Facility Trauma Level: Level 1
  • Coverage Type: No Call
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • End Date: Ongoing

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified or Board Eligible required
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS
  • Licensure: Licensed in Missouri (IMLC not accepted)
  • Credentialing: Estimated 60 days; temporary privileges not available
  • Fellowship: Required
  • Provider Type: Physician
