Physician – Obstetrics / Gynecology in South Carolina

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: Start Date: October 14, 2026 | Ongoing | Clinic Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30-5:00, Friday 8:30-12:00 | Call shifts are 24 hours
  • Job Setting: Outpatient and Inpatient | 116-bed hospital | Level 2 Nursery | Level 3 Trauma Facility
  • Types of Cases:
    • Low and high-risk OB, routine and complicated deliveries (vaginal, C-section, breech, multiple births, VBAC, abruptions)
    • FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE), OB Ultrasounds (Level I & II), Amniocentesis
    • Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
    • Office/minor gynecology (IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, Cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.)
    • Surgical gynecology – Open, Laparoscopic (diagnostic/minor and operative/major)
    • Emergency GYN surgeries and consults from the ED
    • Clinic schedules range from 15-25 patients per day; ultrasound available in clinic
    • Approximately 540 annual deliveries; average daily OB census: 2 patients
    • Infants weighing less than 1,500 grams are transferred to a higher level of care
    • Providers will be covering both hospital and clinic simultaneously
  • EMR System: Athena & Meditech
  • Call: Coverage for both inpatient and outpatient call | Beeper call | 10-minute call response time required

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required
  • Licensure: Must be licensed in South Carolina (SC) only; IMLC not accepted
  • Credentialing: Estimated timeframe: 30 days | Temporary privileges available | Hospital/surgery center privileges required | Admissions required
