Physician – Obstetrics / Gynecology in Washington

Opportunity Highlights

  • Schedule: Clinic: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm, Friday 8:00am-12:00pm. Call: 7am-7am, 1:3 ratio. Rounding: approximately 30 minutes to one hour daily for patients in labor & delivery or post-partum. Dates needed: September 4-7 (through morning of the 8th), October 23-25 (through morning of the 26th), October 30-November 1 (through morning of the 2nd), November 25-29 (through morning of the 30th), December 21-January 3 (through morning of the 4th). Ongoing into 2027 anticipated. Note: orientation date should be factored in for the day before any start date for a new provider.
  • Job Setting: Outpatient and Inpatient; 16 beds in department
  • Types of Cases: Low and high risk pregnancy; FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE); OB Ultrasounds (Level I/Screening); Routine vaginal delivery; Low forceps delivery; Decision-making for C-section; C-section; Breech delivery; Multiple births; Abruptions; VBACs; Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations; Office/minor gynecology (IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.); Surgical gynecology – open, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor (tubal ligation, LOA's, chromotubation), and operative/major (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's). Average deliveries per year: 1,650.
  • EMR System: McKesson and Athena
  • Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
  • Call Type: Beeper; 30-minute call response time required; Call ratio 1:3; Phone consults: 12; Patients seen on call: 5; Admissions: 2-5
  • Admissions Required: Yes
  • Hospital/Surgery Center Privileges Required: Yes; Temporary privileges available
  • Trauma Level: Level 3
  • Stroke Certified: Yes
  • Resident/Teaching Supervision Required: Yes
  • Fellowship: Required (2 years)
  • Patients Per Shift (Clinic): 20-22
  • Support Staff: 2 RNs, 3 MAs, 7 Office Staff

Minimum Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required
  • Certifications: ACLS required; BLS required; Other certification required
  • Licensure: Active Washington State license, will consider IMLC

Credentialing

  • Temporary privileges available for providers with a clean background and completed application submitted
  • Medical Staff Services/CVO will conduct separate background screening and credentialing reviews required for privileging
  • Vendors are responsible for obtaining and submitting all necessary pre-hire requirements including completed background check and drug screen
  • Licensing reimbursement: Not available
