Physician – Oncology – Hematology / Oncology in California

Are you a Hematology Oncology physician searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in California might be the perfect fit for you!
Opportunity Highlights
- Schedule: Full time (5 shifts a week, 4 weeks per month); 8 hours per day with 1 hour lunch; patients scheduled 9am-12pm and 1pm-4:30pm; call 1 week out of every 3 (regular hours during the day with evening call on weekdays, 24-hour call on weekends – phone only, no call back onsite)
- Job Setting: Oncology clinic attached to chemo treatment center and hospital; COC accredited program managing approximately 500 analytic cases each year
- Types of Cases: 12-15 patient encounters per shift
- Credentialing: 90 days; February start only possible with clean file, otherwise March start
Minimum Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Eligible required
- Certifications: BLS; Fellowship required
- Licensure: Active CA license required (IMLC not accepted); 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in specialty required; 2 years of recent inpatient activity required to qualify for privileges; gaps greater than 3 months must be explained
