Physician – Oncology – Hematology / Oncology in Missouri

Are you a Hematology/Oncology physician searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in Missouri might be the perfect fit for you!
Opportunity Highlights
- Schedule: Clinic Monday-Friday 8am to 4:30pm with possible half day off during the week (Monday-Thursday and hospital call). 4 weeks per month commitment required. Weekend on-call.
- Job Setting: Clinic with hospital on-call weekend and some weekday evenings (call is very light)
- Types of Cases: Primarily medical oncology and hematology patients. 40% Hematology/60% Medical Oncology. Consults, follow-ups, possible bone marrow procedures. No Acute Leukemia or Malignant Hematology. Hospitalist admits new patients. Average patient census per clinic shift 15-23, patient encounters per shift 18-25. Night call patient census 1-2. Phone calls and sometimes need to round.
- Credentialing: 90 days. Emergency privileges offered for open dates within 60 days.
Minimum Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Eligible minimum, Board Certified required by facility
- Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS
- Licensure: 2 years fellowship required, will consider IMLC
